Questions we already know you will ask

Short answers for downloads, desktop IDs, and how we differ from other remote desktop tools.

Can I download AnyDesktops today?

Yes. Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Linux (AppImage or .deb), and Android 8+ are available on the download page. macOS and iOS builds are not ready yet.

Windows blocked the installer with SmartScreen. Is that a virus?

No. The build is not Authenticode-signed yet, so Windows treats the publisher as unknown. Click More info, then Run anyway. You can also right-click the file, open Properties, and Unblock.

How do I install the Android app?

Download the APK, allow installs from your browser or Files app, then open the file. When someone connects, grant screen capture. Turn on AnyDesktops remote control once in Accessibility and leave it on — same as AnyDesk.

Is AnyDesktops the same as AnyDesk?

No. AnyDesk is a trademarked product of AnyDesk Software GmbH. AnyDesktops is a separate remote desktop product with its own brand, site, and software. If you need AnyDesk, use anydesk.com.

What is a desktop ID?

A 9-digit address the host shows so another person can start an attended session. It is not a password. Unattended access uses a separate password you set on the host.

Which platforms are planned?

Windows, Linux, and Android are available now. macOS is next, then iOS. Host-on-Android needs screen capture. Remote control uses Accessibility once, then stays on like AnyDesk.

Does AnyDesktops cost money?

No. AnyDesktops is free. There is no paid plan and no checkout.

How do I delete my waitlist email?

Use the contact form and ask to be removed. We will delete the stored address.
